Pengaruh Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) terhadap Tingkat Stres dan Kadar Hormon Endorfin pada Ibu Menyusui

MAHESA : Malahayati Health Student Journal February 1, 2026 Wulan Maya Tary, Sri Sumarni, Irmawati Irmawati

A true experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design examined the effect of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) on stress levels and endorphin hormone levels in breastfeeding mothers. The study included 40 breastfeeding mothers, with 20 in each group, at Dr. (HC) Ir. Soekarno Hospital in Bangka Belitung Province. The intervention was administered over 14 days. The authors report that MBCT reduced stress levels (p = 0.001) and increased endorphin hormone levels (p = 0.001). They suggest that mindfulness-based interventions may be an effective approach for managing stress in breastfeeding mothers, potentially contributing to maternal well-being and breast milk production.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Menurunkan Tingkat Stres Sindrom Pramenstruasi Remaja

MAHESA : Malahayati Health Student Journal January 1, 2026 Kharisma Dwi Anggraini, Sri Sumarni, Sri Endang Windiarti

A true experiment tested whether Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) lowers stress in adolescents with premenstrual syndrome (PMS). The intervention group of 18 participants received eight MBSR sessions, held twice weekly, while a control group of 18 received no intervention. Stress scores decreased significantly in the intervention group (p = 0.001), with a large effect size of 1.251. The authors conclude that MBSR reduces stress levels in adolescents with PMS, supporting its use as a preventive approach for PMS-related stress.
