A true experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design examined the effect of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) on stress levels and endorphin hormone levels in breastfeeding mothers. The study included 40 breastfeeding mothers, with 20 in each group, at Dr. (HC) Ir. Soekarno Hospital in Bangka Belitung Province. The intervention was administered over 14 days. The authors report that MBCT reduced stress levels (p = 0.001) and increased endorphin hormone levels (p = 0.001). They suggest that mindfulness-based interventions may be an effective approach for managing stress in breastfeeding mothers, potentially contributing to maternal well-being and breast milk production.
