By accessing and using The Consciousness Library (a project of Mindscape Collective) ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

The Consciousness Library is an academic research platform that aggregates scholarship on consciousness, spanning the sciences, humanities, and philosophy, from multiple sources. It provides tools to search, filter, bookmark, and discuss academic content; curated topic pages and clinical-trial listings; AI-assisted article summaries and an AI research-synthesis tool; and optional email digests of new research matching your saved searches and followed topics.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display on the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute such content.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service:

  • For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to unlawful acts
  • To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
  • To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
  • To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Mindscape Collective and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Portions of the Service, including article summaries, extracted study details, relevance assessments, and research syntheses, are generated by automated large language models. This content is provided to aid discovery and is informational only; it may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations and is not a substitute for reading the underlying research or for professional, medical, or legal advice. Always consult the original source before relying on any summary or synthesis.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Mindscape Collective, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

The Consciousness Library is committed to operating within all applicable laws and regulations. We strictly prohibit and do not condone any illegal activities on our platform. While we provide access to consciousness research for educational and informational purposes, we do not promote, encourage, or endorse:
