Efficacy of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction [MBSR] on Academic Test Anxiety and Self-confidence among Indian Undergraduates

Social Medicine September 6, 2024 Timi Thomas, Neetha Kamath, Gincy Joseph

Practicing mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) can reduce academic test anxiety and improve self-confidence among undergraduates. The study assessed test anxiety and self-confidence before and after an MBSR intervention in an experimental group compared to a control group. High test anxiety is associated with exhaustion and confusion, while low self-esteem relates to anxiety and depression. The intervention aimed to relieve test anxiety and boost self-confidence and self-esteem.
