Abstract
Tibetan culture is profoundly influenced by religion. Over several centuries of development, the role of religious culture in Tibetan society has become increasingly prominent and significant. The evolution of Tibetan dance has also been shaped by religious culture, including the belief in nature and totems inherent in primitive religions, as well as the teachings of Bon and Tibetan Buddhism. These factors have deeply affected the emergence and development of Tibetan dance at various historical stages, leaving profound religious traces. Without the influence of religious beliefs, the inner essence of Tibetan dance would have disappeared, and it would have lost its mystical and diverse forms, not to mention its national characteristics. Tibetan dance, with its unique movement patterns and symbolic gestures, reflects the spiritual connection between the dancer and the divine. It also incorporates themes of harmony with nature, which are central to Tibetan religious beliefs. Tibetan dance is a powerful expression of devotion and reverence. It is also crucial to emphasize that Tibetan dance is closely connected with a rich traditional cultural heritage and plays an important role in religious rituals, being passed down through generations. The influence of Buddhism and other traditions, such as local shamanic practices and the Bon religion, has enriched the forms of dance, making them more multi-dimensional and emotionally expressive. In order to explore the influence of religion on Tibetan dance culture, with its primitive beliefs, Bon, and Tibetan Buddhism, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive study of the development of Tibetan dance art.
