Effect of intraoperative low-dose esketamine on postoperative quality of recovery in patients undergoing laparotomy for gynecologic malignancy: a randomized controlled trial

International Journal of Surgery September 23, 2025 Zhi-Yu Geng, Yan Zhang, Hui Bi et al. 1 citation

Intraoperative low-dose esketamine failed to further improve the QoR-40 score after gynecologic malignancy laparotomy when used as part of a multimodal analgesic regimen. Further research is needed to explore the optimal dosage and indications of esketamine in this patient population.

Esketamine vs. placebo combined with erector spinae plane block vs. intercostal nerve block on quality of recovery following thoracoscopic lung resection: a randomized controlled factorial trial.

International Journal of Surgery 2025 Jing-Hui Hu, Zhang-Zhen Zhong, Hai-Jing Shi et al. 21 citations

Multimodal analgesic strategy is pivotal for enhanced recovery after surgery. The objective of this trial was to assess the effect of subanesthetic esketamine vs. placebo combined with erector spinae plane block (ESPB) vs. intercostal nerve block (ICNB) on postoperative recovery following thoracoscopic lung resection. This randomized, controlled, 2×2 factorial trial was conducted at a...
