Efficacy of imagery rescripting and imaginal exposure for nightmares: A randomized wait-list controlled trial.

Behav Res Ther June 16, 2017

A randomized wait-list controlled trial compared imagery rescripting and imaginal exposure for treating nightmares. Both interventions reduced nightmare frequency and distress, with imagery rescripting showing a slight advantage in reducing distress. The findings suggest that both approaches are effective treatments for nightmares.
