Abstract

This paper presents the findings of a randomized controlled trial investigating the effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on individuals with chronic low-back pain. The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of MBSR in reducing pain intensity, improving functional disability, and enhancing psychological well-being among participants. The trial consisted of 100 participants randomly assigned to either the MBSR intervention group or a control group receiving standard care. Measurements were taken at baseline, post-intervention, and three-month follow-up. The results revealed significant improvements in pain intensity, functional disability, and psychological well-being in the MBSR group compared to the control group.
