During the COVID-19 pandemic, an online adaptation of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for healthy college students proved feasible and engaging. In a pilot randomized trial, participants in the MBSR group reported greater increases in mindful self-compassion and observing mindfulness compared to controls, with marginally greater overall mindfulness and well-being over time. The study identified small, clinically meaningful mental health effects of online MBSR.
