Unlocking Leadership Potential Through Eastern Inner Science: A Consciousness-Based Leadership Approach towards Human and Planetary Flourishing

Journal of Management Spirituality & Religion January 1, 2026 Klemens Höppner, Eleni Tzouramani, Petra Molthan‐Hill

Leaders can use different states of consciousness as inner levers to experience greater connectedness and unity, holistic knowing through intuition and wisdom, and compassionate care for the whole. Drawing on Eastern Inner Science's Unity in Duality view, the paper argues that such inner transformation can help leaders shift their organization's structures and underlying paradigms. These theoretical insights add new aspects to consciousness-based leadership discourse, potentially contributing to a paradigm shift in how leadership addresses existential challenges.
