International Journal of Research Publication and Reviews March 1, 2025 Oluwatosin Esther Ajewumi
Workplace mental health challenges have grown with work pressure and digital interruptions, and standard therapy and counselling may not fully address them. The article argues that mindfulness techniques, rooted in Buddhist traditions, can improve employee well-being by fostering presence, self-awareness, and emotional self-control. It reports that mindfulness-based programs reduce stress, enhance employee robustness, and optimize satisfaction. The article also examines how social media contributes to stress and how mindfulness can counter negative effects like social judgment and excessive screen use. It proposes practical methods such as breathing exercises, digital detoxification, and mindful walking to support healthier workplaces, suggesting that daily mindfulness can make employees more focused, emotionally strong, and productive.
