Aplicaciones de mindfulness como herramienta para la regulación emocional en el entorno deportivo juvenil

Arcanum Revista de Investigación y Desarrollo July 15, 2026 José Ocaña-Chiluisa

This systematic review examined the evidence on mobile apps and digital mindfulness interventions for emotional regulation, stress, and anxiety in youth athletes. Following PRISMA 2020, the authors screened 62 studies and included 18 in the final synthesis. Findings indicate favorable effects on reducing anxiety and perceived stress, and improvements in mindfulness, self-esteem, resilience, self-compassion, performance satisfaction, and acceptance, though results were not homogeneous and some studies were partial or inconclusive. Direct evidence on mindfulness apps in youth athletes remains limited, as many studies involved university athletes, elite athletes, or non-athlete adolescents. The authors conclude that digital mindfulness tools are an emerging complement to psychological programs, requiring professional guidance and further research.
