Mindfulness training improves employee well-being: A randomized controlled trial.

Journal of Occupational Health Psychology October 18, 2018 Jeremiah Slutsky, Brian Chin, Julianna Raye et al. 103 citations

A 6-week mindfulness training program improved attentional focus at work and reduced work-life conflict more than a half-day mindfulness seminar among employees of a midwestern marketing firm (n = 60). Both groups showed comparable improvements in job productivity, but the longer program yielded marginal improvement in job satisfaction. Small doses of mindfulness training may be sufficient for boosting perceived productivity, while longer programs are needed to enhance focus, satisfaction, and work-life balance.
