Meditation and Yoga as Tools to Reduce Stress, Overthinking, and Anxiety among Youth.

International Journal of Research & Technology April 3, 2026 Sushant Jha, Ms. Manisha Chouhan, Dr. Samir Thakur

Yoga and meditation are effective non-pharmacological interventions for reducing psychological distress among students. A quantitative study of 50 students at Government DSV Sanskrit College, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, used structured questionnaires to measure stress, overthinking, and anxiety before and after the intervention (pre-intervention n=90, post-intervention n=86). Correlation and regression analyses showed that both practices reduced stress, overthinking, and anxiety. Meditation had a greater effect on cognitive domains like overthinking, while yoga led to increased physiological relaxation. The findings suggest integrating these practices into educational settings to enhance mental well-being.

Meditation for Psychological Well-Being, Focus, and Mental Clarity.

Kavya Setu April 3, 2026 Sushant Jha, Ms. Manisha Chouhan, Dr. Samir Thakur

Meditation is linked to higher psychological well-being, better focus, and greater mental clarity. In a sample from districts of Chhattisgarh, India, meditation showed a positive correlation with psychological well-being (r = 0.62), focus (r = 0.58), and mental clarity (r = 0.65). The findings suggest meditation may serve as a practical intervention for improving cognitive and emotional functioning in regional populations.
