The Unit of Meaning and the Emergence of the Observer

Consciousness is not something an observer has; it is something that produces an observer. The model proposes that the basic element of consciousness is a Unit of Meaning, a minimal interpretative operation without internal competition. These units combine into interpretations that compete, with the dominant one stabilized by a principle called Dominanta X. This stabilized interpretation is presented internally as an Observer event. The Self is built from the accumulation of these events through memory, forming a historical identity. The theory reverses the usual direction of explanation: the subject is the result of interpretation, not its precondition.
