Consciousness Originated from Value Conflict: The Evolutionary Strategy of Global Information Mobilization / 意识源于价值冲突:全局信息调集的演化策略

Consciousness is not an inherent property of the nervous system but an evolutionary strategy that emerges when core value conflicts cause normative computation to fail, forcing an organism to restore behavioral determinacy from a certainty vacuum. The paper critically re-examines Integrated Information Theory, Global Workspace Theory, and predictive coding frameworks, arguing they describe mechanisms of consciousness but fail to explain why it exists. It uses the unconscious state of current artificial intelligence as a counterexample to show that computational complexity alone is insufficient for consciousness without the motivational structure of existential value conflict.
