Convergence of Cannabis and Psychosis on the Dopamine System

Cannabis use is associated with alterations in the midbrain dopamine pathway that is involved in psychosis. The findings suggest a link between cannabis and changes in this brain system, which may help explain the connection between cannabis use and the development of psychotic symptoms.
