Threshold of the Zero: Breakdown, Cosmic Intersubjectivity, and The Sacred Space Between (∆)

Abstract

This essay, an evolving psychoanalytic manifesto, contemplates the “state of the world,” arguing that we are facing imminent symbolic collapse. It invites psychoanalysis to recognize that the loss of conventional, historic anchors and entrenched polarities and hierarchies, while eliciting fear for many, also unleashes a possibly unprecedented acceleration of human and planetary consciousness. The author proposes that psychoanalysis embraces a “cosmic intersubjectivity” lens, enabling us to both confront a primordial void in consciousness and recognize humanity’s radical co-participant agency in meaning-creation. Reviving the erased vaginal in psychoanalysis reawakens a primordial symbolic form, the Sacred Space Between (∆); a psychoanalysis enabled by the ∆ can reclaim what lies beyond the repression barrier and the repudiation of the feminine, thereby refusing the world’s splitting of consciousness that divides the sexual and the mystical, the masculine and the feminine, the human and the divine. The manifesto calls for a post-patriarchal psychoanalysis and an apocalyptic politics of revelation and remembrance, exposing both hidden traumatic legacies and our unbroken, ensouled, galactic connections with an eternal abundance beyond alienation and lack.
