Abstract
This community service activity aims to implement a mindfulness-based Panji Mask Dance learning model as a preventive and curative effort to improve students' concentration and emotional regulation at the Nurul Qolbi Foundation, MDTU Ar Rohman Palimanan, Cirebon Regency. The background to this activity is the increasing mental health problems and decreased student concentration post-pandemic due to digital distractions and psychosocial stress, where approximately 40-45% of students experience difficulty maintaining learning focus for more than 15-20 minutes. The approach used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which integrates the traditional art of the Panji Mask Dance with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques adapted to the madrasah context. The activity was carried out through an "Olah Rasa Panji" workshop that included conscious breathing exercises, meditative movements, and the use of simple biofeedback sensors to monitor students' heart rates in real time. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in learning concentration indicators and students' emotional regulation abilities after participating in the program for eight sessions. In addition, this program successfully revitalized the Panji Mask Dance as an instrument for character education based on local wisdom. In conclusion, the integration of mindfulness in traditional arts learning has proven effective as an innovative solution to the adolescent mental health crisis, and has the potential to become a replicable model for other educational institutions.
