It belongs to the Anadenanthera genus. This woody plant may grow to a height of 27 meters, forming various shapes, from small shrubs to massive trees. Anadenanthera peregrina (L.) Speg. originates from South America’s tropical savannahs and semi-deciduous forests and many Caribbean islands. It has significant cultural and historical significance to Indigenous groups, who have used it for many reasons, including shamanic and religious activities.
