Abstract
This paper examines the application of Raja Yoga, an ancient contemplative practice rooted in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, to address the distinctive challenges faced by contemporary business persons. In an era characterised by unprecedented stress, distraction, and disconnection, business professionals struggle with mental instability, anxiety, and diminished well-being, which adversely affect both their professional performance and personal lives. The paper presents both philosophical foundations and practical applications, examining how Raja Yoga enhances physical health, cultivates self-discipline, improves productivity and responsibility, strengthens interpersonal relationships, reduces stress and anxiety, builds resilience, and enhances cognitive functions including focus and concentration. Additionally, the study identifies promising directions for future research, including longitudinal studies on business performance, neurobiological investigations, cultural adaptation research, and organisational integration strategies. The findings suggest that Raja Yoga provides not merely techniques for stress management but a comprehensive framework for sustainable well-being and professional excellence in contemporary business environments.
