Abstract

Objective of the study is a philosophical and methodological analysis of the phenomenon of the actual possibility of self-consciousness emergence in artificial intelligence. Methodological basis of the study. The authors use a transdisciplinary approach that makes it possible to identify an invariant in the spectrum of cognitive practices that confirms the “weak” version of artificial intelligence (AI). The concept of AI as a global social mega-machine of the West is considered, revealing its imitative nature. A. V. Klimenko's recurrent theory of self-organization is used as a methodological basis for the analysis of natural intelligence. The authors also rely on the definition of information as a form of reflected existence of an object, which opens new perspectives in the study of human consciousness and psyche. In addition a geometric approach is applied that integrates the principles of philosophy, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Results of the study. The authors proceed from the methodological incorrectness of reducing the essence of a person to an information matrix. Because the core of each person's essence, in accordance with the system methodology, is a set of ethical principles. It is revealed that the AI system is based on natural intelligence, adequate to the space-time framework of the world. It is shown that the global social mega-machine of the West has only technical awareness, which makes its design very fragile. Prospects of the study. The authors present a range of methodologies that makes it possible to identify the ability of an AI system to possess self-awareness with all the consequences that follow from this.
