Abstract
Transpersonal psychology can be understood as a transformative psychology of the whole person embedded within a diverse, interconnected, and evolving world that pays particular attention to states of consciousness and developmental stages reflecting expansion beyond conventional notions of self. The journal is dedicated to the cultivation and publication of careful scholarship in second wave transpersonal psychology, and also addresses transpersonal approaches to sociology, anthropology, medicine, psychiatry, psychotherapy, education, leadership, feminism, culturally-situated psychologies, world religions, and spirituality, among others. The International Journal of Transpersonal Studies (IJTS) is a semi-annual peer-reviewed academic journal publishing on topics in transpersonal psychology and related fields.
