Vipassana Meditation and Life Effectiveness

Journal of Education and Vocational Research February 15, 2012 M. Dileep Kumar.

Vipassana meditation strongly influences both professional and personal effectiveness among junior-level managers who practiced it during or after their management education. Data from 176 managers who graduated from five business schools in Pune, India, showed a high correlation between the meditation process and improved life effectiveness. The study analyzed attitudinal and behavioral variables using correlation and multiple regression models, finding that Vipassana meditation enhances holistic development, producing physically stable, mentally alert, and professionally mature individuals. This suggests that integrating such practices into management education could foster better business operations and excellence.
