Mindfulness in Islam. Review study

Arid International Journal of Educational and physcological sciences January 9, 2025 Aamer Aldbyani

Mindfulness is an integral part of Islamic spirituality and has been practiced by Muslims throughout history. Its unique aspect among Muslims is integration with Islamic practices and values. Practicing Islamic mindfulness can effectively address stress and reduce depression. Muslims who regularly pray with focus and mindfulness tend to have better mental health compared to those who do not. Mindfulness among Muslims is positively associated with psychological well-being and negatively associated with depression, anxiety, and stress.
