Fenomena Njanthur Dalam Pertunjukan Kuda Lumping Paguyuban Seni Cahyo Kumolo Di Desa Ambalkumolo Kabupaten Kebumen

Jurnal Ragam Pengabdian July 14, 2026 Salma Dinar Nugrahaeni, Eny Kusumastuti

In the Kuda Lumping performance of the Cahyo Kumolo Art Group in Ambalkumolo Village, Kebumen Regency, the phenomenon of njanthur—an altered state of consciousness—unfolds across three stages: pre-performance, main performance, and post-performance. Pre-performance includes ritual preparations such as prayers, offerings, and incense burning. During the main performance, njanthur arises from dance, music, chants, whip use, and the janthuran mayit sequence, leading dancers into an altered state. Two forms were identified: technical njanthur (surupi) and non-technical njanthur (possession trance). Post-performance involves ritual healing to restore awareness. Interpreted through Charles Tart's theory, njanthur is a culturally embedded form of altered consciousness, with the penimbul central to managing rituals, supervising dancers, and facilitating recovery.

Pengaruh Mindful Breathing terhadap Peningkatan Subjective Well Being pada Pegawai Dinas Sosial Bidang Rehabilitasi Sosial

Jurnal Ragam Pengabdian May 25, 2026 Seto Prasetyo, Dwi Hurriyati

A brief mindful breathing intervention over two weeks significantly improved subjective well-being and mindfulness among social workers in Indonesia. Eleven employees of the Musi Banyuasin Social Service participated in 15–20 minute mindful breathing sessions during work hours. Scores on well-being and mindfulness scales both increased significantly after the intervention, with every participant showing improvement. The findings suggest that a simple, brief breathing practice can be an effective, low-cost strategy to support psychological health and reduce emotional strain in public-sector workers who face intense interactions with traumatized clients.
