Tardemah: The Biblical Key to Spirituality
Theory and Practice in Social Studies June 30, 2026 Howard Barry Schatz
The author argues that the Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Creation), attributed to Abraham, encodes a Pythagorean mathematical system known as the Music of the Spheres, which integrates the four Quadrivium disciplines (arithmetic, music, geometry, astronomy). This system, called the "231 Gates of Wisdom," was allegedly lost in 586 BCE and is claimed to underpin Biblical allegory and symbolism. The author, drawing on studies with Dr. Ernest McClain and years of deciphering the text, contends that applying this framework reveals Judaism's "Secret of Knowledge."
