A new centrally active halo-amine, 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenylisopropylamine, enhanced emotional and intellectual perception in clinical evaluation without producing the imagery and perceptual distortions typical of related psychotomimetics. The authors suggest these properties could make the compound valuable as an adjunct to psychotherapy.
