Article AbstractSir: Marijuana use has been associated with mental illness for more than a century and a half. This relationship was first noted by J. J. Moreau de Tours in his 1845 classic work, Hashish and Mental Illness. Observations by Indian psychiatrists kept the topic alive during the first half of this century.
