This study examined whether yoga meditation, as a complementary therapy, reduces stress in patients at a psychiatric polyclinic in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Sixty stress patients were divided into two groups: one received only pharmacological therapy, and the other received pharmacological therapy plus yoga meditation. Statistical tests showed no significant difference in stress levels between the groups before the intervention, but after the intervention, the group receiving yoga meditation had a significantly lower average stress level than the control group. The authors conclude that yoga meditation combined with pharmacological therapy is more effective than pharmacological therapy alone.
