Group counseling integrated with mindful breathing significantly reduced anxiety among Indonesian high school students. In a pretest-posttest control group design with 20 students, the experimental group showed a large reduction in anxiety scores (Cohen's d=2.04), with 60% reaching the low-anxiety category after six sessions, compared to none before the intervention. The control group showed no such change. The authors conclude that this approach is an effective, accessible, and practical school-based strategy for adolescent anxiety.
