The Psychological Approach of Transpersonal Theory in Islamic Education
Al-Tadzkiyyah: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam June 20, 2024 Nafizatur Rahmi, Khamim Zarkasih Putro, SZ Zaky Faddad
This paper argues that transpersonal psychology, which integrates psychological concepts with spiritual disciplines, can be applied within Islamic education to promote peace of mind and faith as a foundation for learning. Using library research and content analysis, the authors contend that a strong, firm, and true faith combined with remembrance of Allah leads to a peaceful soul. They propose that the psychological approach of transpersonal theory directs education toward happiness and peace of mind by maximizing rational potential through contemplation and reliance on God for educational outcomes.
