The effect of mindfulness-based education given to individuals with substance-use disorder according to self-efficacy theory on self-efficacy perception.

Applied nursing research : ANR February 1, 2021 Berna Bayır, Rukuye Aylaz

A mindfulness-based education program grounded in self-efficacy theory increased self-efficacy perceptions among individuals with substance-use disorder. In a pretest-posttest controlled trial with 112 patients (56 treatment, 56 control), the treatment group's average Self-Efficacy-Sufficiency score rose from 76.50 ± 12.62 before the intervention to 85.50 ± 14.95 after. A significant difference between groups was detected overall, though two of the four subscale factors showed no significant change.
