International Research Journal of Multidisciplinary Scope January 1, 2025 Dewi Erna Marisa, Regidor III Dioso, Asita Elengoe et al.
A systematic literature review found that Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) significantly reduces perceived stress, emotional exhaustion, and burnout among healthcare workers, while improving emotional regulation, self-compassion, and overall mental health. However, the review identifies a gap in research on the long-term benefits and sustainability of MBSR in diverse healthcare settings. The authors conclude that MBSR is effective as a short-term intervention but call for further research to explore its long-term feasibility and generalizability. They emphasize the importance of integrating MBSR into healthcare settings to support professionals' mental well-being and resilience.
