A six-week stress reduction program incorporating mindfulness and loving kindness meditation reduced perceived stress, burnout, depression, and trait anxiety among 13 Brazilian nursing professionals, with gains maintained at follow-up. Quality of life improved in physical and psychological domains. Qualitative reports described greater present-moment awareness, less reactivity to inner experiences, and positive effects on nursing activities.
