Exploration on The Psychological Mechanism of Mindfulness Meditation
SHS Web of Conferences January 26, 2024 Fei Yinuo
Mindfulness meditation positively regulates negative emotions across various contexts, according to a review of existing research. The concept of "mind" in mindfulness meditation, rooted in Buddhism and Zen, overlaps with the self-concept studied in Western psychology. The review summarizes current findings and methods, noting that most research focuses on correlations and hypotheses rather than empirical mechanism exploration. It calls for future empirical studies to investigate the psychological mechanisms of mindfulness meditation, correctly understand its developmental complexity, and leverage new technologies to expand possibilities.
