Artificial consciousness, artificial emotions, and autonomous robots.

Cognitive processing December 1, 2006 Alain Cardon

The authors propose a computational model to transpose concepts of consciousness into artificial brains for autonomous robots, aiming to enable intentional and adaptive behavior. The system has two parts: one constructively generates a symbolic representation of the robot moving in its environment, and the other dynamically represents this using morphologies. The robot's body is seen as a morphological apprehension of its material substrate. The model relies on massive multi-agent organizations with morphological control.
