Abstract
O presente estudo tem como objetivo cartografar experiências com a ayahuasca, acompanhando motivações e mudanças na cosmovisão e no estilo de vida narradas por praticantes do Santo Daime. Justifica-se a relevância da pesquisa pela necessidade de investigar saberes tradicionais e modos plurais de produção de cuidado diante do cenário contemporâneo marcado por crescente adoecimento mental. O artigo é ancorado teórica e metodologicamente na Cartografia e na Psicologia Transpessoal. O campo empírico foi composto pela igreja Céu das Sete Colinas (ICEFLU), em Garanhuns - PE. Os procedimentos de produção de dados envolveram a realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com seis membros fardados e o registro de um diário de bordo. Os resultados apontam que os participantes atribuem ao contato com o chá/daime experiências de cuidado e reorganização existencial. Conclui-se que eles relacionam tais experiências a transformações na maneira como compreendem a si mesmos, suas relações e sua inserção no mundo.
