Abstract

This chapter develops our approach to psychological functionalism, enactivism, and social anthropology by situating intentionality as the driving force not only of individuals but also of history and society. Our analysis is metaphysical, functional, and structural in scope, rather than ideological or political. By clarifying psychological functions, we aim to reveal an intersubjective ground through which both persons and societies can operate and grow beyond the civilizational paradigm shaped by conflict and economic constraint. This also reinforces our claim that science exists not merely to sustain society materially, but to enable the transcendence of those conditions that obscure the meaning of intentionality and, ultimately, of human flourishing.
