In nature, forms and forces are distinguished. MIND is the cerebral software of forms and faculties that elaborate them. Its complex functional and evolutionary organization has required various ways of investigation: 1. Difference between Homo sapiens and the other mammals; 2. Enchanted Staircase as a model of progressive levels from low animals to humans; 3. Different Forms of Thought between exogenous (Knowledge, Dream) and endogenous (Reasoning, Fantasy) with origin and importance of Creativity. 4. However, it is analysis of words that allows us to distinguish the details of Mind phenomenon. Structuring of stimuli into signals, and these into ideas, and these into thoughts that are directed in ways based solely on memory or elaborated by Ego, giving rise to the many varied forms of thought.
