Abstract
The lifetime prevalence of bipolar disorder (BD) type 1 is 0,87% and bipolar disorder type II is 0,67%. Although bipolar disorder has a genetic charge, it is considered as multifactorial influenced by environmental factors which is used as an early intervention strategy because it can be modified and MBCT is the first-line adjuvant maintenant therapy in BD patients. This study explored whether 8 sessions of MBCT therapy in bipolar disorder could reduce anxiety scores. One-group pre-experimental study with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest and posttest design method were carried out. Data were collected in 2 months at RSUD Dr. Moewardi. 15 participants were choosen by total sampling. The participants were examined by T-MAS, then given MBCT therapy for 2 months with 8 sessions
