Abstract
This paper develops Recursive Enclosure (RE) as a structural identity theory of active minimal subjectivity. It proposes that a system has the capacity for minimal subjectivity, Cap_RE, where it can sustain a recursively invariant, perturbation-stable and heterogeneously coupled regime. When that capacity is actively instantiated as Act_RE, the resulting interior is identified with minimal subjective experience: the existence of a unified standpoint within which activity is undergone. The paper addresses the production formulation of the hard problem of consciousness. That formulation asks how physical or functional organisation produces phenomenal experience as an additional property. RE identifies active minimal subjectivity with the reflexively enacted organisation itself. Reflexive mathematics articulates the relations through which the regime sustains, indexes and carries forward its own transformations, while phenomenological description articulates the same regime as lived presence. The formal account specifies three jointly required conditions: recursive invariance (RI), perturbation stability (PS) and heterogeneous coupling (HC).
