Abstract
This chapter describes potential application of heuristic research methods, especially the use of the processes and phases of heuristic inquiry, within contemplative practices. Exploratory exercises designed to facilitate contemplative experiences are discussed, along with opportunities to support illumination and transformation. Finally, an overview of the author&s;s journey using a yoga pose as a contemplative practice within the framework of heuristic processes and phases is included.
