Summary

AI-generated from the abstract

Tafakkur, as interpreted in Kamāl Faqīh Īmānī's Tafsir Nurul Quran, is a process of deep reflection that integrates spiritual, intellectual, and moral dimensions, rather than mere rational thinking. It involves contemplation of both natural and scriptural signs, reasoning grounded in revelation, and the internalization of values into ethical action. This concept forms a comprehensive structure of consciousness encompassing existential, cosmic, epistemological, moral, and spiritual dimensions. Tafakkur is presented as highly relevant for addressing modern crises of meaning, value disorientation, and moral degradation caused by instrumental rationality and instant culture, offering a systematic integrative model of awareness and a reflective Qur'anic paradigm.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the concept of tafakkur in Kamāl Faqīh Īmānī's Tafsir Nurul Quran and examine its relevance to modern life issues. This study employed a qualitative method with a thematic-conceptual tafsir approach. The data collected consisted of Qur'anic verses and related terms, which were then analyzed comprehensively. Based on this research, it is explained that tafakkur is not merely about rational thinking, but rather a process of deep reflection that combines spiritual, intellectual, and moral dimensions. This concept of tafakkur encompasses contemplation of kauniyyah and qauliyyah verses, revelation-based reasoning, and the internalization of values in ethical actions. Tafakkur also forms a comprehensive structure of consciousness, encompassing existential, cosmic, epistemological, moral, and spiritual dimensions. In modern life, tafakkur is highly relevant as a basis for renewing human thought patterns in the face of the crisis of meaning, disorientation of values, and moral degradation caused by the dominance of instrumental rationality and instant culture. This research contributes to the development of tafakkur as a systematic integrative model of awareness and as a reflective paradigm of the Qur’ānī to address the modern spiritual crisis.
