Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) on stress levels and mindfulness of nursing students.
Methods: The study was quasi-experimental and included pretest-posttest control groups.
Results: No differences were detected between the pretest scores of the scales of the students of both groups. Students in the intervention group demonstrated increased mindfulness and decreased stress levels (p < 0.05). PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS MBSR applied in the present study effectively reduced the stress of nursing students and increased their mindfulness.
