PHENOMENOLOGY OF SIGNIFICATION AND SIGN DIACHRONIC

Signification—the process by which something stands for or points to something else—takes on different forms depending on the context in which it occurs. Applying a phenomenological approach clarifies how these processes of signification relate to the phenomena they produce or accompany. The article examines this correlation, showing that the way meaning arises and is understood shifts with the surrounding circumstances, and that careful attention to lived experience reveals the structure of these relationships.
