Predicting Career Search Self-efficacy: The Role of Self-transcendence, Self-consciousness, Self-control and Self-management

Among 1278 university students, self-transcendence, self-control and self-management, social anxiety, appearance consciousness, and internal self-awareness significantly predict career search self-efficacy. Self-transcendence is the strongest predictor. The findings suggest that interventions or psycho-educational programs targeting these self-related skills could be tested to enhance career search self-efficacy.
