HERMENEUTIKA TEKS TASAWUF: PENAFSIRAN SIMBOL DAN MAKNA DALAM KARYA TASAWUF

At-Tajdid Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Islam June 18, 2026 Irfan Padlian Syah, Suadi Sa'ad, Sholahuddin Al Ayubi

Sufism serves as a guide for human life to achieve happiness in this world and salvation in the hereafter. Hermeneutics, from the Greek hermeneuein, means to interpret, explain, or translate. This qualitative library research focuses on documents related to Sufism texts, especially interpreting symbols and meanings in Sufistic works as primary data sources, with supporting literature as secondary data. Sufism arose as a response to spiritual needs to draw closer to Allah, expressed in writings rich in thought, symbols, and spiritual experiences. Sufis use symbolic language—such as love, travel, unity, light, and beauty—to describe inner states, mystical experiences, and intimacy with God, which ordinary language cannot reach.
