DARUL IRFAN RESEARCH JOURNAL May 14, 2026 Md. Abdur Rahman
Excessive attachment to worldly pursuits causes mental stress. Spiritual and religious meditative practices, including Transcendental meditation, Mindfulness, and Yoga, are recommended to alleviate such stress. This study examines Zikr (remembrance of Allah) as an effective antidote from an Islamic perspective, using analytical and descriptive methods. The results demonstrate that Zikr is the most useful tool for mental stress relief and has a substantial positive impact on heart health. The findings may encourage people to practice Zikr for emotional and psychological stress relief.
