A first-time user of psilocybin mushrooms in a home setting experienced introspection, emotionally significant memories, and spontaneous emotional regulation. The safe domestic environment helped reframe past experiences and led to lasting changes in self-concept. The findings point to the need for psychoeducational strategies to reduce risks and support emotional integration of autonomous psychedelic use outside clinical contexts.
